About FUNKY CONGREGATION: SassyBlack, L.A., Run P.

L.A. stands for Luis Albert, he writes the songs, he chooses the producers, he records the tracks and he brings them live along with his band, which with he has been playing for some years and bringing his music around the world. Lately they have been doing festivals such as Reading & Leeds (UK), Corona Capital (México), SXSW (USA), Eurosonic (Netherlands), CMW (Toronto), BBK Festival, DCODE Fest and many more in homeland Spain. They also have been opening for names of the like of Arcade Fire, New Order and Franz Ferdinand or even more recently for MUSE at the Olympic Stadium in Barcelona, their biggest show to date.

The band are based in between their beloved Mallorca island in the Mediterranean, the fast and loud hum of Madrid and the craziness of Los Angeles, loving the living in the three of them. Right now they are still on the roads of Spain touring their latest album "Dualize" that tour will go deep through into next year but soon to be having a break visit to the Americas with some shows in Chile, Argentina and Mexico.

"Dualize", their latest work, was recorded and produced by Richard Swift (The Shins, Foxygen, Damien Jurado) at his very own studio in Cottage Grove, Oregon, USA. It has been welcomed with praise by fans and media and has made L.A. to get airplay both in commercial and independent networks.

In previous recordings L.A. has been working with such high profile producers as Nick Didia (Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen), Kevin Augunas (The Lumineers, Tribes) or Mark Neill (The Black Keys).

MEDIA SAYS OF "DUALIZE"
"Big choruses, helped by the force of Luis Albert, you just can imagine them playing at Coachella or Benicassim main stages at nightime and with frenzy crowds in front of them" (JNSP).

"In a scene with such an inferiority complex, Luis Albert bets all the stakes with songs that would fit any international festival and introduces us to a very likely sound to be exported" (MONDO SONORO).
