About Fox Trax, Milhaus, Toys in Trouble, Like Herding Cats

Milhaus consist of Ian Wayne, Andre Matlock, Paulina Mandeville, and Charlie Kaplan. They met while attending Hamilton College and now live in Brooklyn. They like listening to the Band, Elvis Costello, Gene Clark, Arthur Russell, Television, Wire, Clarence Carter, the Replacements, Pavement, The Strokes, Bob Dylan, and the Clash.

LIKE HERDING CATS, the concept as well as the solo EP itself, materialized out of experiences in Dom P.'s personal and professional life while performing with Brooklyn bands The Rowboats, The Hong Kong and touring members of St. Vincent, and Dean & Britta. Released through TuneCore, the five-song, self-titled debut EP, running 17 minutes, is often compared to dream pop and contemporary chillwave artists such as Washed Out and MGMT. The record was written and produced by Dom P., edited and mixed by Mod at Mod Alien Music Studios (guitarist and songwriter for Elefant, Ape Fight, DMT Frequencies) and mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side Studios (Sufjan Stevens, Beach House, Kurt Vile).

In May 2014, Like Herding Cats won The Deli magazine's Artist of the Month award. A few months later Kevin McAdams, of Elefant, joined the band on drums, Tim Jansen, of The Hourly Radio, on bass, and former band mate Sebastian Briglia of New Wave and The Art magazine, on guitar. The four have since been collaborating on new material, and are taking their dynamic live act on tour through the East Coast and beyond in Summer 2015, while preparing to record a full-length album.
