Cuban Sensation Formell y Los Van Van Returns to Lehman Center

Heralded as one of Cuba's greatest dance orchestras and known around the world for their iconic live performances, Los Van Van make a celebrated return to North America. Founded in 1969 by Juan Formell, Los Van Van continue to dominate as one of the world's foremost interpreters of contemporary Afro-Caribbean music. At their New York performance, you can expect to hear the group's greatest hits along with work from their more recent work. When they hit the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, Samuel Formell -- Juan's son and the band's current frontman -- will lead the ensemble through a collection of danceable tracks incorporating innovative, contemporary arrangements of Juan's grooves from the past.
