First International Choro Festival w/ Choro Down Neck Band

Choro Down Neck is New Jersey’s premier choro ensemble. They take their name from the historic Newark neighborhood that is alive with Brazilian and Portuguese food, music, and culture. Choro Down Neck performs traditional choro, contemporary choro works, and their own compositions. With their delightful combination of flute, mandolin, trombone, guitar, and pandeiro, they evoke the sounds of Brazil’s gafieiras, cafes, and theaters.
