The Aviary is a brand new Brooklyn based melodic indie rock band from former solo artist Jonathan DePaso. Jonathan's songs are most influenced by the melodic beauty from the band Sigur Ros and the experimental nature of Radiohead. The band is comprised of Maria Takeuchi (bass), Pony Tinajero (guitar), Daniel Siles (drums), and Jonathan DePaso (vox, guitar). The band seeks to give a genuine and emotionally powerful experience to the listener whenever they are playing live; an experience that leaves one feeling that they have witnessed something beautiful. The Aviary will be incorporating work from visual artist Ai Kobayashi to create a live performance that blends the auditory aspect with a thematic visual element creating an overall sensory experience.
