About Figs Vision
It would be a close relation to compare the collective sounds of Figs Vision with the infectious pop of Fun. and the attitude of the Talking Heads. Still, the LA native duo produce electronic melody and groove paired with a poignant raw grit clearly their own.
The relationship between the founding members (Thatchrr and Junior)
was formed at 14 years old during a motorcycle accident. They were riding dirt bikes in the harsh rains of 2004, when Jondo lost control effectively launching the bike from the muddy road down a steep hillside into what was at the time assumed to be a real crevasse. After much discussion on how to retrieve the motorcycle, the two boys discovered a black and orange rope and realized two things: 1. it was yet possible to retrieve the bike and 2. someone else had been here. The boys anchored the rope securely to a rebar stake and repelled down the steep hillside into the assumed crevasse to retrieve the motorbike. Once the boys feet had landed they looked around themselves and realized they were quite deep in a very real cave with a watery basin. Small frog holes covered the caves walls and the sound of small frog chirps echoed with the sound of the rain. As they continued deeper into the cave, only faintly remembering they were looking for their lost item in the assumed crevasse, the boys met a very real man. Fig [real name] birthed what was to become the rest of the future of Thachrr and Juniors natural lives.
Now their relationship can best be described as an overly emotional scottish working transgender mutually in love with a shy sumo wrestler astrologist who make mystic pop (feeling) music together under the nom de Figs Vision. With a passion to perform they are doing what they have been sent to do and will continue releasing the hottest cuts you just haven't heard because you haven't heard yet. Their July 2014 full length album release is titled, 'Mother'.
