Sometimes the best fashion trend to follow is to be yourself -- which Mackenzie "Mickey" Williams finds out the hard way in the musical "Fashion Academy". Based on the popular book by Sheryl Berk, the story follows fashion-forward Mickey as she navigates her way through an elite school of emerging fashion designers. However, as Mickey's pink hair and wild style set her apart from the other students as a walking "Fashion Don't," she is forced to give both her closet and personality a complete makeover. After transforming into the new trendy "Kenzie," she finds that she blends in with the other fashionistas ... but at what cost? Premiering at The Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater in New York, "Fashion Academy" celebrates individuality and personal acceptance in this family-friendly musical.
