About Erin & The Project

Introducing Erin & The Project! They combine soul, r&b, pop, funk and jazz influences, featuring powerhouse female vocals and solid rhythms!

The couple met backstage at The Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, CA. The spark was there, and the songwriting started. However, it wasn't until their wedding in 2008 that they finally performed their music live for family and friends. With the economic recession in full swing, they quit their day jobs and officially started building a career with small local gigs and a self-titled EP.

Over the years they moved up into the Sierra Foothills, and continued playing shows throughout California, and caught the attention of well known industry professionals such as Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship) and Jeff Tamelier (Tower of Power, Starship, etc.). Eventually, they connected with Grammy award winning engineer/mixer, Oz Fritz (Tom Waits), and recorded their second album, BIRTHDAY, in October 2011 in their living room, featuring guitar and bass tracks from their friend and bay area musician, Jonnie Axtell.

Immediately after launching BIRTHDAY, they put all their belongings into a storage unit in Colfax, CA and set out on the open road, playing their music around the country.

In October 2013, they met up with Oz once again to record their third album, A LITTLE LOVE. This time they recorded at the world renowned Prairie Sun Recording Studios, featuring Eric McFadden (guitar), Matthew Charles Heulitt (guitar), Jason Langley (bass), Phil Bennett (organ), and Ram Kaundinya (tabla). Their single, PROMISES (released on Jan. 30th), was mixed in Wales by multi-Grammy winner, Tchad Blake (The Black Keys, Peter Gabriel, Sheryl Crow, etc.). The full album was officially released on Valentines Day 2014.
