About Empire State Music Festival

Grey Season electrifies living room music, perching harmonies atop a sound that is, in essence, folk wrapped in rock n roll. Throughout the variety show that is a Grey Season performance, one might find most memorable the occasional 5 part harmony; blues rooted guitar solos between wholehearted lyricism, memorable melodies driven by the nostalgic plucking of bouzoukis and banjos. Grey Season is a band that calls upon a collective musical memory, while pushing forward as a band dedicated to the power of song and the hearts of a growing audience.

Their debut album, Time Will Tell You Well, was released to a sold-out show on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Middle East in Cambridge, MA. It was produced by Boston Music Awards Producer-of-the-Year Benny Grotto and 3-time Grammy-winner Justin Guip at Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock, NY.

Based in Brooklyn, NY, Pool Cosby brings together sample-based electronic hip-hop with violin, cello, and drums. Influenced by artists such as Shlohmo and J Dilla, this genre-bending band fuses old-school classics such as Ol' Dirty Bastard, Sam Cooke, and Mariah Carey with contemporary rhythms and sounds.

Prior to forming Pool Cosby, each member had garnered their own recognition in the music industry, including major label credits for engineering, mastering, arranging, and tracking. Collectively, they have worked with artists including 50 Cent, Trey Songz, Oberhofer, Melanie Fiona, Sean Paul, araabMUZIK, Theophilus London, and Juelz Santana.

Even though their first album was released only a year ago in October of 2012, Pool Cosby has already more than proven themselves in the electronic music scene, ranking #4 on ReverbNation's chart for Top 10 Experimental Bands in Brooklyn. Pool Cosby recently headlined showcases at the CMJ Music Marathon, the Knitting Factory, Pianos, SPiN NYC, and Spike Hill and is currently working on their third and fourth albums.

Described as "pop music for pop music snobs," New York duo Lilly Wolf have created a catchy collaboration of electronic music infused with the perfect dose of melody, hard-hitting beats, and insightful lyrics. With a devoted indie following, the band has been gearing up for commercial success, with songs regularly soundtracking TV shows such as "The Real World," "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," and "The Bad Girls Club."
The project is made up of front woman Lilly Wolfson and producer Alex Neuhausen (Dr. Nu). While the duo consists of these two equal partners, Wolfson's name and face represent them. While studying at Stanford University, Wolfson and Neuhausen met online in a musician-based Facebook group. At the time, Wolfson had a singer/songwriter focus and recruited Neuhausen to play the guitar. Having won several singing competitions and performed on "A Prairie Home Companion," Wolfson was pursuing a more acoustic sound. However, after a few years of performing music in the Bay Area, the two transitioned their sound and entered the EDM arena, employing synths, elements of house and dubstep, and their own electro flavorings to craft an entirely different sound.
