Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg: "Tchaikovsky" & "Red Giselle"

Boris Eifman, known as the bad boy of Russian ballet, returns to New York City Center on Eifman Ballet's "40th Anniversary Tour", performing two of his signature works. Called "one of the great dramatic ballets of the 20th century" ("San Francisco Chronicle"), "Red Giselle" brings to life the tragic true story of a ballerina who gets caught up in the Russian Revolution. One of Eifman's most acclaimed dance-theater pieces, "Tchaikovsky" dives into the tortured and brilliant mind of the composer of "The Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake", exploring both his complicated sexuality and intense creative process through stunning choreography. Don't miss Eifman's newly refreshed versions of these classic ballets.
