About Dutch Boys, THE PENULTIMATE

DUTCH BOYS! Started out as a bright, punky power trio in the winter of 2013. They began playing sporadically and writing more and more satisfying music. Dutch Boys eventually became a 5 piece, and then a 4 piece in the spring of 2014 with the loss of guitarist and backup vocalist Aaron Black. The line up consisted of Dan Connolly (Guitar/Vox) Mike Kirkland (Vox/Guitar) Colin Barry (Bass) and Mike "MgGoebbels" Maguire (Drums). Dan and Mike spent the better part of their time writing songs in a basement to play in their heads during their adventures and to bring back feelings they can remember having as children. After one self-recorded release to positive reactions called "Pressing Questions" in the winter, They began to play more regularly throughout 2014. Again upping the frequency of shows played in the new year, at such venues as The Meatlocker, The Crossroads, Champions Sports Bar and Grill, Post 282 and various basements and DIY spots. Dutch Boys takes pride in working with local artists for posters and merch art. They took a step forward when they were approached by EJ Gaub and Jen Davis of RMC Studios to record a song with them pro-bono. Dutch Boys' debut single "HWY" came of it. The forward momentum gave them the inspiration to write the songs that would eventually become their debut EP set for release in the summer of 2015.
