About Diary: A nostalgic night of emo, screamo, and pop punk

After taking a month off, nostalgic emo crew Diary returns to Cameo for the first party of summer, and it's set to be their best night yet. On Friday, June 26, Diary is proud to be hosting the official after party for Conor Oberst's band Desaparecidos, who are playing earlier that night around the corner at Rough Trade. In addition to their choice selections of old-school emo, screamo, and pop punk jams, Desaparecidos co-founder/guitarist/songwriter Denver Dalley will be Diary's special guest DJ for the night. Suffice it to say that this is going to be AWESOME.

We couldn't be more excited to have Denver joining us this month, as his music with Conor Oberst and Desaparecidos has been a major staple of Diary's DJ sets since it was founded in 2009. The band's debut Saddle Creek album, Read Music/Speak Spanish, is a timeless classic in the emo/punk world, and their brand-new Epitaph LP, Payola, will easily stand as one of the best records of 2015. This month at Diary, we'll be celebrating the impact and legacy of Denver and his powerful music. It only seems fitting that he'll be joining us for the occasion.
