DAB5, is a modern day Sly & the Family, from New Jersey. These dynamic gentlemen possess a uniquely blended sound that defies classification. Their album, Clarity, is best described as good-vibe music that can be received by all walks of life. Fans of the Grateful Dead, to ones of The Roots and John Legend, would equally catch the groove. Their sound is influenced by greats like Funkadelic, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana, James Brown, the Black Keys, and D'angelo.

DAB5 has just released their debut album "Clarity" that is currently available on iTunes, Amazon, Bandcamp and Google play. Streaming of the album is also available on Spotify, and Youtube.
Currently the guys are moving throughout the NYC tri-state area making appearances and spreading their infectious grooves..

DAB5, was founded by Darren Lightburn Jr., a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. With a specific vision and sound in mind. D crossed paths, and began to work with, Brandan "Tightpocket" Burton in 2012, an incredible drummer, with a groove more precise than a cobra. Shortly after, the duo merged with Rafael "Raja Jackal" Joson, the creative mind of the Head Monsters with a sugary sweet guitar stroke. This Trio established a tightness like no other, then tracked down Dylan "G-strang" Wheeler, the only guitarist in NJ funky enough to bring giants to their knees. "Joshieo Bunnyhorn" Simon, brought a new element to the band not long after. A sax man with more beauty in his expression than the Mona Lisa. Lastly, the Fee brothers entered the picture like a streaker across a world series field. Gerard "G-Man" Fee, a guitarist seasoned like an Emerald steak, and with his brother "Go!"Joe Fee, the creative (hypothetical), bass playing, offspring of Jaco Pastorius and The Vanguard's Pino Pallidino. It was all a match made in heaven. The DAB5 sound was established! This diverse group of gentlemen create magic.


Singer/Actor/Model. A William Esper Studio grad, Audrey Kate has always loved to perform. Her vocal styles are inspired by Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse, capturing a cool, contemporary jazzy vibe. Resides in NYC, but a jersey girl at heart.
