About Dave Koz & Larry Graham
Smooth Jazz Saxman Dave Koz & Funk Star Larry Graham in Concert
Smooth jazz-pop superstar Dave Koz has released multiple chart-topping albums and several successful crossover singles, including "You Make Me Smile," the theme song to "General Hospital" and his stirring rendition of "White Christmas," along with other seasonal favorites. As a teenager in the San Fernando Valley, Koz initially began playing the saxophone as a way to help him gain entry into his big brother's band. Since then he's gone on to play with such artists as Burt Bacharach, Ray Charles, Natalie Cole, Celine Dion, Shelby Lynne, Kenny Loggins, U2, Michael McDonald, Luther Vandross and Rod Stewart -- and he was also a special guest on Barry Manilow's "One Last Time" Tour. Hear the nine-time Grammy nominee live when he takes the stage of Morristown's Mayo Performing Arts Center, along with Larry Graham, the original bassist for Sly and the Family Stone. Graham is a pioneer of the slap-thumb method of bass playing and was inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame with Sly and the Family Stone in 1993. He's recorded five solo albums and has had several hits on the R&B charts, including his biggest crossover hit, "One in a Million You."Comments
