About Creeper Lagoon

One of the San Francisco music community's most celebrated indie-rock bands of the last two decades, Creeper Lagoon, is coming out of retirement for a special one-time only New York City show at The Mercury Lounge. The core lineup - consisting of Ian Sefchick, Sharky Laguana, David Kostiner and Dan Carr - has not performed on the East Coast since 2001. Their critically adored debut album, I Become Small and Go, produced by the Dust Brothers was released in 1998 on Nickelbag Records. SPIN named them the Best New Artist that same year. An EP, Watering Ghost Garden, followed two years later, and the full length album Take Back the Universe And Give Me Yesterday was issued on Dreamworks in early 2001. The band has toured with Guided By Voices, Pavement, Built To Spill, Spoon, and Dinosaur Jr.
