About Cosmic Harvey & Celestial Mind, Brian Bonz and the Major Crimes, Time King
"A superlative example of how the youngest generation of up and coming musicians is perfecting a conglomerate sound that will transform rock genre musics in ways both familiar and engagingly odd. ROBBERS toss in a number of unusual factors, from strange spoken satirical rants to electronica to pop to folk, in a highly progressive mode impossible to nail down... a very wide cosmos of influences have resulted in a mega-smooth spacey sound that marries mainlined mellifluous vocals to vaulting arrangements layered in an encyclopedia of sound techniques...
... I can only hope that efforts like this quickly succeed and usher in a new day no one's quite expecting. In a sea of radio moribundity, this is badly needed, might even help spark a rebirth of what occurred in the 70s."

"Time King is a five piece rock / prog band based out of Long Island, New York. Comprised of musicians holding an extensive academic and professional background in music theory, composition, production, and audio engineering, the band aims to present music which is intricate yet accessible to a larger audience. In equating the band with similar modern-day greats of the rock and prog genres, The Huffington Post writes, '... the instrumental and vocal acrobatics call to mind Lucy Gray-era Envy on the Coast and a healthy dose of Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo; the band's fluidity, however, is more reminiscent of Circa Survive jamming with Animals as Leaders.'
Online, the band has received some noteworthy attention through their unique renditions of various 'cult-favorite' tracks. A cover of 'Cameo Lover' by New Zealand jazz/pop artist Kimbra grossed over 30,000 views on Youtube. Meanwhile, the viral buzz generated by their cover of the theme song to USA Networks’ hit original series Psych led to the band being hired by the NBC/USA Networks to write and produce a rock rendition of 'Amazing Grace' for an ad campaign.
On stage, Time King has performed regularly in support of such seasoned modern acts as The Almost and Bad Rabbits. The band is currently preparing to tour in July 2015 to support the release of their debut self-produced full-length record, 'Suprœ,' which is set for digital release in June 2015. On reviewing a recent live session video for the band's new single, 'The New,' popular online blog Nerdist.com finds the track to be, 'the best workout [your brain] will get all week ... It’s the type of track that stabs the air with sharp, brittle guitar chords and tempo-chasing drums in line with The Dear Hunter. The vocal harmonies will have you adding your own notes to the mix, too. Your brain will thank you.' "
