All he has to do is pick up the guitar and, by the first note, any arguments are settled. While famous for his ability to channel the blues with the rawness and sincerity of the old masters, Harris also enjoys a reputation as one of the genre's most daring and exciting innovators. Skillfully weaving West African influences with funk and Jamaican music, Harris creates a tapestry of sound that blends blues, funk and reggae into a colorful new genre. His talent has attracted a glittering array of collaborators including Taj Mahal, Buddy Guy, Wilco, Dave Matthews Band and B.B. King himself.
