In Klarsfeld's eight-year hiatus as a recording artist, he shifted his focus to producing (Branchez, The Vaccines) and DJing . A prodigy of sorts, Klarsfeld and his psychedelic rock group Hysterics were on TRL at the age of fifteen. Later he formed retro-R&B group The Americans, working with the likes of Sean Lennon, Daniel Merriweather, and The Dap Kings. Stepping back from the typical frontman role, Klarsfeld began making beats and DJing in NYC for the A-list fashion and art crowds.
