Chris Rose aka DJ Car Stereo (Wars) began spinning in dance clubs and rock venues in 2005 and soon expanded to shows throughout the U.S. and Europe. His infectious and upbeat blend of 80s, 90’s hip hop, pop, Top 40 mixes has landed him performances at Lollapalooza in Chicago and South By Southwest in Austin, along with slots sharing the stage with bands like Grizzly Bear, MGMT, Del The Funky Homosapian and many more.

Chris also released two mash-up albums on Artifact Workshop Records that garnered praise from Pitchfork, Stereogum, and USA Today. His sets are fast moving journey through dancefloor classics and unexpected party jams where you’re just as likely to hear The Fresh Prince theme song mashed with a Justin Timberlake beat as you are a Jay-Z classic mixed with Michael Jackson.
