Britpop Choir

'Tis the season for choirs, drinking and merriment! So what better way to celebrate then by joining the Britpop Choir for our annual winter show! We have had a great cycle and are excited to share our new tunes as well as classic Britpop Choir repertoire!

Our set includes original arrangements of classic (and not so classic) Britpop inspired covers, including: Blur, The Spice Girls, Elton John, Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles, George Michael and many more!!!

The Brit-Pop Choir is a contemporary community choir based in the Lower East Side. The group is made up of 35 members and is for anyone, over the age of 18, who loves to sing! Founded in May 2012 the group welcomes total beginners, professional singers and everyone in between.

The choir works on a range of repertoire based on popular British music, from the iconic classics of the 60's right through to the cutting edge pop and indie of the contemporary UK music scene.

The group focuses on singing accessible and contemporary songs, developing intricate harmony, using a wide range of vocal styles and techniques and most of all having a great time through singing.
