Bria Skonberg: Red-Hot Jazz From Acclaimed Trumpeter-Vocalist

Bria Skonberg, "The Wall Street Journal" raves, "looks like a Scandinavian angel, plays like a red hot devil and sings like a dream." Now this acclaimed trumpeter-vocalist brings her talents to NYC's Highline Ballroom for an intimate evening of song as part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival. The Canadian-born and New York-based Skonberg, who recently scored a Swing! Award from Jazz at Lincoln Center, is known for her distinctive mix of classic jazz, soul, world music and swampy New Orleans sound. Her debut release, "So Is the Day", hit the Top 10 on the U.S. jazz charts, and she's performed at hotspots like Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola and Birdland.
