Brazilian jazz legend Antonio Carlos Jobim was the Grammy-winning king of bossa nova and composer of such enduring hits as the international smash "The Girl From Ipanema." Argentinian guitarist Andres Laprida is a New York jazz club regular, who's impressed critics and fans worldwide with his serious six-string chops. He's recorded with a wide range of artists, including Gato Barbieri, Phillipe Saisse, New London Consort Orchestra and DJ Spooky. At this Groove nightclub appearance, he'll not only pay tribute to the Jobim, but he'll also salute his countryman, composer ??stor Piazzolla, who's credited with adding a touch of jazz and classical to tango to create "nuevo tango".
