Braxton Cook Meets Butcher Brown CD Release

Braxton Cook is one of Christian Scott's most notable protégé's, touring the world with Scott as a lead saxophonist, arresting audiences with "A texture and tone that channels the spirit of John Coltrane" says Shannon Effinger in Downbeat Magazine.

Cook, the recipient of the Ilinois Jacquet Scholarship, is a rising star at the Julliard School where he continues to hone his craft, instructed by Ron Blake and Steve Wilson. In addition to Scott, Cook has been able to share the stage with Wynton Marsalis, Jon Batiste and other jazz heavyweights.
