Bourbon Express

New York Music Daily describes Bourbon Express as “a first-class honky-tonk band.” Led by singer-songwriter Katie Curley, members include guitarist Brendan Curley, vocalist Sarah Kinsey, and bassist Andrew Dykeman.

Their newly self-released debut album One Big Losin’ Streak features Jonny Lam of Honeyfingers on pedal steel guitar and Andrew Hodgkins on drums. The Daily Country calls it “a gem; toe tapping and twangy with a sound that is decidedly old school, fully utilizing classic instrumentation and successfully transporting you to a honky tonk where the whiskey and music are free flowing."

Bourbon Express formed in 2011 and remains based in Brooklyn, NY. They have performed alongside notable local country artists Moot Davis, Jason Loughlin, Chris Erikson, Bakersfield Breakers, and The Needmore Brothers.

Katie Curley was born near Pear Blossom, California in the Mojave Desert and raised in rural western Washington State. Her songwriting is largely influenced by the classic country records she was exposed to as a child: Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Randy Travis, and The Judds to name a few.

Brendan Curley was born in Aberystwyth, Wales and grew up in Tacoma, WA. He learned to read music before he learned to read the alphabet. In addition to pickin' guitar with Bourbon Express, he also wields his axe in Country Provisions Band.

Andrew Dykeman hails from Rhinebeck, NY, where he learned to play guitar from a young age. He received formal training from the Musicians Institute Hollywood, CA and SUNY New Paltz and spent many years in the popular NY band, White Water. Currently Andrew also plays bass in Country Provisions Band.

Sarah Kinsey is an actress and singer who spent her childhood in Cincinnati, OH and her high school years in Grand Junction, CO.
