About Bobby Rush

Bobby Rush: Grammy-Winning Blues Legend

Reveling in his unofficial title, 84-year-old "King of the Chitlin' Circuit" Bobby Rush looks back on his long-running career with this live concert at New York's B.B. King Blues Club. The Louisiana-born bluesman's been on the road playing harmonica and guitar since he was a teen, showcasing the grit, grind and soul that's been the blues innovator's trademark since the 1960s, when he stood shoulder to shoulder on stages all over Chicago with the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf and other blues titans. Rush is still very much in demand -- he won a Grammy in 2017 for Best Traditional Blues Album for Porcupine Meat and recently sang a James Brown classic with Blues Brother Dan Aykroyd on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon".
