About Blues-Rock Guitarist Walter Trout

Walter Trout: Blues-Rock Guitarist and Singer Live at B.B. King's

A true blues legend, master guitarist Walter Trout was a member of both John Mayall's Bluesbreakers and Canned Heat, two of blues-rock's most influential bands. He's also been a stalwart sideman for classic artists including John Lee Hooker, Big Mama Thornton and Joe Tex. Trout's been touring and recording with his own band for years, and he's renowned for his riveting live shows. He recently got a second lease on life after liver failure led to his receiving a liver transplant in 2014. Channeling his near-death experience into his work, the music he's creating is more powerful than ever, with a new live album, "ALIVE in Amsterdam", coming out in June. Now you can see Trout at B.B. King Blues Club in New York City.
