About Blues for Little Rockers: A Children's Workshop w/ The North Mississippi Allstars & Anders Osbourne
North Mississippi Allstars and Anders Osborne bring
“Blues for Little Rockers” - A Children’s Music and Songwriting Workshop to Garica’s at the Capitol Theatre
Friday, February 27 at 3:30PM
Presented by The Rock and Roll Playhouse
Calling all Little Rockers! Escape the cold and start your weekend off with a blast by joining The Rock and Roll Playhouse for a one-of-a-kind after school children’s music workshop at Garcia’s with North Mississippi Allstars and Anders Osborne.. NMA and Osborne have teamed up as N.M.O and released a new record “Freedom and Dreams” and are playing the Capitol Theatre later that evening as part of their spring tour.
RRPH teachers and N.M.O are thrilled to introduce our little rockers to the blues by singing and dancing, writing a blues song with the band, and learning about guitar. Kids will also have opportunities to participate in an art project before and after the workshop.
RRPH artist workshops are designed to support child development, encourage creative interaction, and provide families with opportunities to appreciate music together. RRPH’s artist workshops for families are a huge success and have celebrated collaborations with artists such as Phil Lesh, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Howard Jones, and Jonathan Toubin. Please visit the RRPH website for more information about the project and ways to get RRPH involved in schools in your community. For more information contact [email protected].
