Bit Funk, Du Tonc (Mighty Mouse & Matt Van She)

Brooklyn's Bit Funk is an indie dance mainstay and Hype Machine chart topper, with songs featured everywhere from Treasure Fingers' DJ crate to the soundtrack for CW's Vampire Diaries. Appearing on major labels from Defected to Hed Kandi, his signature synth drenched disco sound has ignited dancefloors from LA's Avalon to exclusive showcases at SXSW.


Du Tonc is the new duo of Matt Van Schie of Australian synth pop band Van She and London producer Mighty Mouse. Since forming less than a year ago, they've released three strong singles, "Darkness," "Surging Memories," and "Rise." Mighty Mouse's nu-disco production and Matt's knack for the same kind of impossibly catchy tunes he does in Van She come together really well, and it results in some serious Delorean/Cut Copy-style summer jams. Matt's voice is also a little reminiscent of modern day Julian Casablancas, so if you liked that song Julian did with Daft Punk, these tracks are recommended for you too.
