Barleywine

"Smiles are gonna shine when it's BarleyWine time".

Linda, Jay & Mike were touring with Citizens Band Radio, their full electric countryroots rock band, when BarleyWine was born. CB Radio had been performing throughout the eastern seaboard opening for acts like Blackberry Smoke, The Charlie Daniels Band, Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, also playing on the Rock Legends Cruise with so many great rock icons and taking the stage at major festivals like The Allman Brother's Peach Festival and SXSW when Jay was approched to open for Loretta Lynn. The catch was that the venue wanted a stripped down version, an acoustic duo or trio. Over the previous years the three members had jammed in the living room, the studio and even on some radio appearances acoustically and so BarleyWine became official.

BarleyWine allows us to experiment with songs that we can present in a raw fashion. Songs that we might not get to play publicly otherwise - from Bluegrass to Country, Blues, Folk and originals that could only work in the acoustic format.

BarleyWine's mission is to make our audience feel like they are sitting in our living room listening to us play songs that we have shared with each other for a long time. This band is truly an American Roots showcase with Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Acoustic Bass and three part harmonies.
