Barbara Martinez: Brazilian Jazz & Flamenco

Venezuela-born and New York City-raised singer-dancer Barbara Martinez is a flamenco artist with serious chops. The "Philadelphia Inquirer" called her voice "achingly beautiful" and "The New York Times" said she makes "something fresh of the Latino style." Martinez has danced with the Metropolitan Opera in shows like "Carmen" and "La Traviata", and recently appeared in the documentary "Sobre Las Olas -- A Story of Flamenco in the U.S." Now, this passionate entertainer is coming to the stage at the Groove in Greenwich Village.
