About Bad Faces

Somewhere at the crossroads of traditional roots and modern psychedelic music lies Bad Faces; wry and plaintive, weathered but fresh, and all American. Spanning genres and eschewing trends, their music can best be described as outlaw country meets progressive psychedelic. They exist somewhere between Lightnin' Hopkins and Tame Impala, are equal parts Bill Monroe and Grateful Dead, but ultimately the rough and tumble voice and songs of lead singer and songwriter Barry Lee Komitor shine through in their own, radiant bliss.

In the past year since their formation, Bad Faces have hit the ground running and appeared at virtually every room for up-and-comers in New York City, including Rockwood Music Hall, Bowery Electric, The Rock Shop, The Shrine, The Living Room, Brooklyn Night Bazaar, Piano's, and more. They have shared bills with The London Souls, Elle King, Bandits On The Run, Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion, and Low Cut Connie, recently performed at the Beatles' Rubber Soul tribute show at Piano's presented by Brookladelphia, and have appeared at many of Hoover Dam Art Collective's events.

Bad Faces features Barry Lee Komitor (The Co-Dependents) on lead vocals, songwriting duties, and rhythm guitar, Adam Douglass (Gent Treadly, The Highway) on lead guitar, Mike Severino (Levon Helm's Blues Band) on drums and Brian Stollery (The Zings, Maringa) on bass guitar and backing vocals. The band hopes to release their debut album 'Broken Window Dressing' in Spring of 2016 however it is currently available to stream on their Soundcloud.
