Aurora

Aurora Aksnes is a 17 year old from Bergen, Norway. She taught herself how to play the piano when she was only 6 years old and started writing her first own songs at 10. Only three years later she had her very first performance. Through these years she has always been accompanied by her amazing one-of-a-kind voice. When you hear this voice for the first time, you know that Aurora is indeed a rare diamond in the rough!

She grew up listening to Dylan, Cohen and Cash and always loved their ability to tell stories through music. Through these classic writers he made herself a promise to not only write happy ending stories and eternal love, but about real stories, people’s stories are the inspiration for her music.

Aurora is addicted to fantasy in movies and books : Harry Potter, Lord Of The Rings, The Hunger Games. She used to write her own and has always loved everything that involves adventure and magic. Later, she started adding music . She is a keen dancer whether it be ballet, jazz ballet or contemporary dance : this has always been a very important way for her to express herself even before she started to write songs.

Recently she has been recording and everytime she enters the studio, she feels like she is one step closer to her dream: to share her stories with the world.
