In early 2012, Todd Langdon and Joe Yock came together to form the group that would become known as "…ish". Looking for a sound that was truly different, the two set out writing music that incorporated elements from a vast multitude of genres. When Brandon Christensen entered the group in 2013, he added a harder rock element to the music the ensemble wrote. What they came up with was a style that included elements of funk, rock, and punk. After the line-up became finalized, the three guys began intensive practice and writing sessions, which resulted in a catalogue of original music ready for performance.
With the perfect balance of musical technique and showmanship, …ish looks to create a real and truly unique experience, not just another rock show. Joe Yock's intricate and dynamic bass lines set the foundation, which are complemented by Brandon Christensen's "deep pocket" drum rhythms, and set the foundation for the band's sound. To top off the trio, Todd Langdon's vocals and intense guitar lines create an amalgamation of melody and chaos, which allows the group to have a sound that fits across genres, yet still allows the members to express individual musical talents.
The members of …ish have an impressive list of previous experiences, including performing at Van's Warped Tour, CBGB's, and various festivals and tours all throughout the United States. These individual experiences have all influenced the sound, style, and professionalism that are a part of the band. …ish is currently performing shows throughout the southeastern United States and recording their first EP, expected to be released in 2014.
