About Angelina Alexon Album Release Concert
Angelina Alexon, currently being considered for the 2016 Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance, and coming off very high profile shows, including a show at U.S. Capitol in Washington DC, is bringing her biggest and best show to DROM adding horns to her band. She has a 5 octave soprano voice with tone and power that has been compared to Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. Although her show will be primarily in English, she sings in 7 Languages, and and will be performing her Spanish Pop single AMOR, which was at the top of the club charts all summer, as well as a song in French she wrote the night of the Paris tragedy,as a tribute. This show will celebrate the debut release of her EP, available only on CD, and will be her last NYC until next Summer.
This show will also be an industry showcase with many high level industry people attending including, Ivan Mogull, who has produced and published everyone from Nat King Cole to Julio Iglesias, who he discovered. Ivan says “Angelina is a very talented singer/songwriter and a wonderful performer, watch this star shine” and multi Grammy winning mixer/produce Bob Brockman who worked with Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton, etc. who says. “Angelina is a brilliant singer and gifted songwriter”. Muti Grammy winning producer Rob Cutarella with over 160 Platinum records says “Angelina has a gift for interpreting songs and reaching the heart line of the listener, you will become an instant fan after seeing her perform.”
Paul Insinna, a Music Artist Manager/Attorney with 30 Years in the business working with people such as Michael Jackson’s and David Bowie’s manager, will also be at this show and says “In a time in pop music where a well-crafted song has almost seemed to become a lost art, Angelina's poetic lyrics, filled with imagery and metaphors, together with her carefully crafted remarkably catchy hooks, and an understanding and appreciation for the song structure and songwriting of the greats in the past, while still being contemporary in today’s pop music scene is nothing short of genius. She is the Real Thing, no auto tune, lip syncing, plastic surgery, ghost writers or choreographed passionless dancing, a much needed refreshing new addition to pop music”
Angelina is also an accomplished dancer, obtaining her graceful movements and passionate Latin moves from years of formal training.. Many who have seen her perform in the US as well as in Barcelona Spain, where she lived prior to coming to the US and in Greece as a teen where she was born, state that the combination of her amazing dancing and voice results in her being a captivating live performer.
