About Andrew Keoghan

The Carribean-born, New Zealand raised multi-instrumentalist's songs reflect a fascination with unconventional love and its unlikely heroes. 'Every Orchid Offering' describes an aging rock star stepping out of retirement to relive the adulation of his adoring female fan base, while 'They Don't Want a Boyfriend' celebrates the outing of two teenage girls in love.

Keoghan's debut LP Arctic Tales Divide was released to critical acclaim in his homeland of New Zealand, receiving a nomination for the Taite Prize (inspired by the British Mercury Prize) and named The New Zealand Herald's Top Local Album of 2011.

A classically trained singer and arranger, Keoghan worked closely with Lawrence Arabia on the string elements for his 2012 release, The Sparrow (Bella Union) and The Ruby Suns' Christopher (Sub Pop). Last year Keoghan relocated to Brooklyn to produce his sophomore LP, due for release mid 2014
