On the heels of nearly 50,000 miles of touring over the past 18 months, the buzz and anticipation surrounding New York-based artist Janita (pronounced YA-nee-tuh) is as unsurprising as it is palpable. Standing-room-only concerts and sold-out headlining dates in both the United States and Europe have cemented her reputation as an electrifying artist and performer whose breakthrough moment has arrived.

Now, in addition to her ongoing tour schedule, she’s launched her own artist-in-residence concert series in New York, at famed Lower East Side music haunt Arlene’s Grocery. In this new series, Janita will be debuting new songs as well as new collaborations with special guests––a veritable who’s who of the New York music scene––while also performing fan favorites from her albums Seasons of Life, Haunted, and Didn’t You, My Dear?

Critical acclaim fused with commercial success may be rare in the music world, but this happy combination remains Janita’s norm: “Janita mesmerizes…her distinctive vocals are her stand-out asset, ranging between an edgier Feist and a softer Florence Welch,” declares Paste Magazine. Baeble Music adds, “Combining the vocal intensity of Bat for Lashes’ Natasha Khan with the turbulent rock edge of St. Vincent, Janita continues to mark herself as an artist capable of producing music of great beauty and unsettling power.”

Janita continues to promote the Deluxe Edition release of her recent breakthrough album, Didn’t You, My Dear?, having just returned from a second major tour of the United Kingdom, and her first headlining tour of the East Coast of the US in December of 2017.

Sean Kiely is a singer-songwriter and guitarist living & writing in Jersey City since 2008. After releasing his first full-length Arch Envy in 2012, Sean turned his focus toward the acoustic guitar, and began crafting the intricate instrumental parts and evocative lyrics that characterize the songs on his latest record, the highly praised, Your Logo, My Logo. The album is an intimate collection of songs examining lyrical themes of love, confusion, death, and awe within our modern American culture. It features intricate folk and bluegrass-influenced guitar playing by Kiely, and the orchestral upright bass playing of Bobby McCullough.

No Depression writes that Your Logo, My Logo is “one of those sublime and unassuming efforts that sneaks up on you until you find it won’t let go.”

Sean Kiely has followed up Your Logo, My Logo with a lathe cut 7” (Leesta Vall Sound Recordings) featuring two cover songs, including a lyrical adaptation of Pound For Pound by the jazz group The Bad Plus.

2017 saw two new releases, including a split 7" with the acclaimed singer Jeff Taylor, and an EP later in the year called "It Sure Was Good!"
