Amity & 12th

Amity & 12th is an acoustic duo group singing folk, blues, and songs of the soul. The collaboration was born on 12th st in East Village, which is home to Alex's first downtown apartment. Over a cheap rioja, the group laid down their first track in the 12th st fifth floor walk-up. Since then, the music has been in constant flow. Our song writing inspiration comes from a lot of love, a lot of angst, joy, curiosity, bordeom, hope, willingness, and everything in between. We love that damn guitar but also groove to some spoken word, and a Capella harmonies. As long as we're living we're writing songs for the soul.
