About America

Today's Pursuit of Happiness...
"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in the gray twilight that knows neither victory or defeat." Theodore Roosevelt

Leonard Ajkun's America is always on the move. The dream drives free people from the Pacific to the Atlantic, it provides hope for the hindered, and it strengthens the hearts of the ones contending with adversity.

Finding the perfect and delicate balance between freedom "to" and freedom "from" involves pacing the roads of life that, in return, uncage forceful emotions.

Ajkun's imagination is triggered by vision and shapes and his profound passion for music. Although his ballets are constructed on great physicality, with tangible challenges for the dancers' bodies, it is his powerful artistic temperament that connects emotionally with the audience.

The story is incidental to the choreographer, and so are the market demands. His full attention is given to art and dance in its most enjoyable and audacious form.
