About Alyssa Robbins, Frankie and the Momos, On The Sun
With the recent release of her third studio album, "Our Time Was Here We Just Forgot to Be", Robbins makes a rockier departure from her first two albums ("Wet Behind the Ears" & "The Other Side of the World"). She growls and snarls her way through stories of haunted Brooklyn streets, changing seasons, and a lovers insanity all with a touch of sensitivity and heart ache. With the lyrical prose of Aimee Mann and the voice of Etta James, "Our Time was Hereā¦" provides the perfect balance of whiskey swigging rock and gin sipping soul.
Franky and the MoMos plays with other Brooklyn musicians and as part of the Act IV collective.
Rooted in classic American Soul and Funk, ON THE SUN is a collaborative effort between multiple songwriters and producers exploring elaborate vocal harmonies, syncopated arrangements and sonic experimentation. Using modern production techniques and synthesizers along with live instrumentation, the band blends these elements together to create a unique sound that showcases the group's diverse talent.
