Aidan Carroll CD Release

New York bassist, composer and producer Aidan Carroll, originally hailing from Oklahoma City, had a vision as a young child. "When I was 8 years old, I had a vision and a feeling wash over me in which I knew that I’d be playing music for the rest of my life - it wasn’t so much a choice but a reality of my life to come."

Now with over nine years experience, Carroll has performed and recorded in New York and internationally with greats like Aaron Goldberg, Seamus Blake, Fred Hersch, and Melody Gardot. Most recently he is the featured bassist on tour with Grammy Award-winning vocalist Lisa Fischer. His work infuses the influences of his musical gurus to create a nuanced, dynamic album with a soulful jazz sound.

Carroll releases his debut album Original Vision March 3, 2015 on Truth Revolution Records (US) and Lyte Records (UK/Ireland). The record composed primarily of original material by Carroll features an all-star cast with such musicians as John Ellis, Sullivan Fortner, Justin Brown, David Bryant, Chris Turner, and Joe Dyson.
