About Ada Pasternak

With the voice like a young Ingrid Michaelson and chordal violin picking not unlike folk instrumentalist Andrew Bird, Ada Pasternak, a recent graduate of Berklee College of Music, is bringing her unique intimate sound to Café Nine, Wed., July 25. Originally from Moscow, Pasternak was classically trained on violin and has always had an interest in other musical styles and improvising, an interest that peaked at Berklee and inspired her to begin singing and writing music. With a mix of classical violin and folk, Pasternak has performed with such artists such as Wyclef Jean and Mark O'Conner, garnering the young musician some well-deserved attention in the American folk and indie scenes.
