Well in total cosmic/synchronistic character of the band, The Warlocks made their public debut at Magoo's Pizza Parlor in Menlo Park, CA on May 5, 1965--- Cinco de Mayo... THE DAY OF THE DEAD!

To celebrate the official birth of the Grateful Dead, Uncle Jesse Lauter will be hosting an all-Dead Cinco de Mayo Dance Party at HiFi Bar (169 Ave A) starting at 7 PM and going straight on til midnight... Drink specials on Margaritas and Coronas... It's gonna be a long, long, crazy, crazy night....
