"The Breakfast Club" Celebrates 30 Years

Never was detention so fun -- or so poignant -- as in John Hughes' 1985 film "The Breakfast Club". Celebrate the 30th Anniversary celebration of the film's release with a special screening at Symphony Space. Ranked No. 1 on "Entertainment Weekly"'s list of the 50 Best High School Movies, the film follows a group of erstwhile students forced to spend their Saturday together in a day-long detention. "The Breakfast Club" defined an entire generation of pop culture and included such talent as Molly Ringwald ("the prom queen"), Anthony Michael Hall ("the geek"), Emilio Estevez ("the jock"), Judd Nelson ("the troublemaker") and Ally Sheedy ("the outcast"). None of these five strangers realizes the eye-opening and transformative day they'll have or the effect they'll have on each other.
