About 2015 Tap Awards

The Tap Awards: Hoofers & Heroes Honored on Tap's Biggest Night

The tip-top talents of tap will be honored at The American Tap Dance Foundation's annual Tap Awards ceremony at The Duke on 42nd Street. For those who perform or simply love this percussive style of dance, the Awards event is a combination of the Oscars, Tony night and Cooperstown Induction Day. For not only will there be film presentations and performances honoring this year's recipients -- which include pioneering dancers Heather Cornell and Karen Callaway Williams -- but tap stars of yesterday will be inducted into the International Tap Dance Hall of Fame. This year's Hall of Fame class includes the late legends Ray Bolger (The Scarecrow from "The Wizard of Oz") and Henry LeTang ("The Cotton Club"). Come celebrate tap's resurgence and creative expansion during this very special event in the heart of Broadway.
