1in2 is a husband and wife, violin and piano duo, featuring Blanca Cecilia González (violin) & Jesse Arthur Elder (piano). There is no genre that they are not open to exploring. The duo’s current repertoire consists of original music by Elder, as well as works by Mozart, Bach, Mingus, Ellington, Corea, Parker, Sarasate, Pärt, Bartok, and many others. They've been performing together in New York City for three years, and have also toured to Chicago and Michigan, giving performances and master classes. They're music has an appeal that sparks the imagination of audiences ranging from preschool students, to the elderly. They perform with a dynamic, expressive, passionate, unified sound that flows effortlessly and joyfully.


Jesse Elder is a NYC based pianist and composer. He studied at Interlochen Arts Academy, Oberlin Conservatory and New School University. He is a 4 x ASCAP award winning composer. Jesse has released 3 albums, and an album length music video as a leader. He has appeared as a sideman on many albums by artists such as Sarah Elizabeth Charles, Scott Tixier, Matt Parker, Tony Middleton, the Candy Shop Boys and others. He's performed throughout the US, as well as parts of Europe and Canada. He recently performed a song, and appeared in a scene from the new Keanu Reeves action film, “John Wick” with the Candy Shop Boys. He keeps an active schedule, performing nearly every evening, and is musical director at Duane Park.


Violinist Blanca Cecilia González began conservatory training at age 4 and grew up performing Latin American folk as well as traditional classical music in her native country Colombia. Moving to New York at age 11, she was exposed to many styles and genres of music. She is an active collaborator and diversified player, with projects from traditional classical, to jazz, contemporary, rock and folk. Blanca holds a BM from the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College and a MM degree from the Juilliard School. She has performed in Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, Bargemusic and the Blue Note as well as in stages across the Unites States, Europe and South America.
