For Father, it all starts with art. Born Centel Mangum, Father lived in small town Mississippi until he was ten, when his family packed up the car for a oneway drive to Atlanta. In the fourteen years, that Father's lived in Atlanta, he's lived all over the city, from the westside to east side, where he currently resides. Just four years ago, Father was in art school, where he met some like­minded friends in his sculptor class. They decided to form a creative media company, Awful Media Group. The collective shot shorts, photography and were the first to curate events on Edgewood, a now thriving music and bar scene in Atlanta.

Eventually, Father realized that he wanted to invest his creative talents into himself. Since then he's released five projects: Pretty Boy Satan, L1L DIDDY, Boys and Girls Club, Young Hot Ebony, and Brawl, the latter a collaborative effort with Awful Record's Rich Po Slim. To kick off the new year, Father will be supporting Theophilus London on his 16­city US Spring tour and will be dropping his next EP, Who's Gonna Get F***** First?, in February.
