New York City Real Estate

The New York real estate market varies drastically depending on which of the Five Boroughs you're looking in. Manhattan—with its Central Park penthouses, SoHo lofts and Gramercy brownstones—is king of prices that are high enough to induce heart attacks. Brooklyn, on the other hand, is known as much for cool, artists-loft type spaces in Williamsburg or DUMBO that are easy on the pocket as it is for insanely expensive brownstones and mansions in Park Slope or Brooklyn Heights. Queens, particularly Astoria, is known for lower-priced row houses and funky warehouse spaces, hence the mass amount of Manhattanites that have recently moved there for cheaper rent or lure of investing in New York real estate. The Addisleigh Park neighborhood of Queens, however, is filled with upscale, ritzy Tudors. The Bronx, as per usual, is known for cheaper living, but at the price of sketchier streets. Staten Island is where it's at if you want the pretty residential life with the crazy city life just a boat ride away. Real estate in Staten Island is especially popular in quaint, quiet neighborhoods like St. George, which is filled with affordable single-family homes and restored Victorians and Colonials, and Livingston, which is filled with Colonials and seaside real estate. No matter which Borough is of interest; our New York City Realtors can help.
