"Spamilton": A Musical Parody of Broadway Hit "Hamilton"

Now a hit musical in its own right, "Spamilton" celebrates, roasts and eviscerates the history-loving Broadway blockbuster. "Hamilton" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda claims he laughed his brains out upon seeing this theatrical parody. Written and directed by Gerard Alessandrini ("Forbidden Broadway"), it's not just a send-up of its Tony-winning source material; it also pokes fun at such Broadway icons as Patti LuPone, Audra McDonald, Stephen Sondheim and more. This Drama Desk Award and Outer Critics Circle Award nominee heads to New York's 47th Street Theatre, starring a young virtuoso cast, with special guest diva Christine Pedi.
