Røyst Trio: A Cappella Folk Ensemble

From "Pitch Perfect 2" to "The Sing-Off", the audience for a cappella is still aca-normous. Now, New York's Scandinavia House gets into the act by hosting a performance of by the Røyst Trio, otherwise known as vocalists Kari N. Bleivik, Cecilie Giskemo and Maria Jardardottir. The talented threesome writes and arranges their own songs, drawing from a mix of folk, jazz and world music, and are set to entertain with their playful version of some traditional Norwegian tunes. Together since 2002, they've appeared at festivals across the globe and are poised to release their latest EP in 2015.
