About "Half Moon Bay"

"Half Moon Bay": Obsession Grips Architect (and Audience) in New Play

When playwright John Patrick Shanley, winner of the Tony, the Pulitzer and the Oscar, caught the reading of "Half Moon Bay", he knew immediately that John Jiler's visionary new work demanded a full staging. So thanks to Shanley's involvement, Nylon Fusion Theatre Company is now presenting the drama's world premiere at the New Ohio Theatre. In Yiddish folklore, an "aynredenish" (an "obsession") is worse than any mortal disease. And no work explores the complications and consequences of obsession like this gripping tale of an architect whose sudden addiction to a mysterious waitress sabotages his marriage and his career. Margarett Perry directs the latest stage work from the author of celebrated books "Dark Wind" and "Sleeping with the Mayor".
